Abstract

Abstract.

The importance of this research lies in its presentation of a training model that contributes to improving skill speed, which is one of the most crucial requirements for football players, especially in the junior stage, which forms the foundation for the player's skill and physical development. The research also helps coaches understand the impact of controlling the distance between the player and the ball or the player and the opponent, as well as achieving optimal performance within the optimal time, as these are two essential elements in making sound motor decisions during a match. Furthermore, the research provides reliable scientific data that can be used to develop training programs for junior players and promotes the use of simulation training, which mimics real-life situations, thus helping players acquire the appropriate adaptations for actual play. The research problem was: Skill speed is one of the most important basic requirements for junior football players, as it represents the cornerstone for a smooth transition to advanced levels of play. However, based on the researcher's experience in training and football, and as indicated by field observations and coaches' testimonies, many junior players suffer from slow execution of basic skills, especially when performing them under the pressure of a match and its rapid changes. The research aimed to identify the effect of distance and performance control exercises using simulation training on developing the speed of skill performance in junior football. The experimental method was employed, and the research sample consisted of junior football players from Al-Minaa Sports Club. After implementing the exercises, the most important conclusions were reached: distance and performance control exercises using simulation training are important for developing the speed of skill performance in junior football. The recommendation is to adopt distance and performance control exercises using simulation training, as they are important for developing the speed of skill performance in junior football.
