The Effectiveness of Tabata Training and Spirulina Supplementation on Cardiorespiratory Fitness and Oxidative Stress in Orienteering Athletes Aged 25–30 Years

Abstract
The study aimed to identify the effect of Tabata training and Spirulina supplementation on cardiorespiratory fitness and oxidative stress among orienteering athletes aged (25–30) years. The researchers used the experimental method with two experimental groups using pre- and post-tests, as it suited the nature of the research. The research sample consisted of (17) orienteering athletes from clubs in Karbala Governorate within the age group (25–30) years. The results showed that Tabata training combined with Spirulina supplementation had a significant effect on improving cardiorespiratory fitness and increasing antioxidant capacity among the participants. The researchers recommended adopting Tabata training programs for orienteering athletes aged (25–30) years due to their role in improving physical and physiological efficiency.
